SCAE will establish Ethiopia’s flagship national auctions under the brand “Best of Ethiopia.”These auctions provide a premier global platform to present Ethiopia’s finest, rarest, and most exceptional coffees to international buyers—ensuring transparency, rewarding excellence, and elevating the value returned to producers.
2 Promotion
SCAE is committed to strengthening Ethiopia’s presence in the global specialty market through powerful storytelling and international visibility.We will build strong digital channels, implement global marketing campaigns, and participate in high-profile coffee events and publications to promote Ethiopia’s identity as the birthplace and leader of specialty coffee.
3. Global Partnerships
We will grow Ethiopia’s influence by forging strategic alliances with international coffee organizations, research institutions, trade bodies, and industry leaders.Our long-term ambition is to position Ethiopia to host a World of Coffee event, amplifying the nation’s voice and leadership within the global industry.
4. Competition
SCAE will lead and professionalize Ethiopia’s National Barista, Brewer, and Cupper Championships, ensuring fairness, excellence, and international standards.We will support national champions to represent Ethiopia proudly at the World Coffee Championships, creating global ambassadors for Ethiopian specialty coffee.
5. Research & Development (R&D)
SCAE will champion scientific discovery and innovation across the coffee value chain—identifying new varieties, mapping Ethiopia’s hidden gems, and strengthening our genetic coffee heritage.We will also advance sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing the carbon footprint in coffee farming and processing, ensuring Ethiopia’s coffee future is resilient, environmentally responsible, and globally competitive.
